The wheel was great, but maybe the other one needs re-inventing!

Hi Kelvin,
You’re right, no need to re-invent the wheel, but there’s still some re-inventing to do in other things.

Hi Raul,
Now, that’s a succinct post!
Agreed, keep it simple, keep it simple, keep it simple, please.
Hope all is well your way.

Tax declaration procedures… bleh. I spit on ‘em, so I’m with you there, Raul. I don’t know why they can’t be simpler!

Hi Tony,
We always tend to complicate things…maybe the wheel wasn’t invented by us!

The invention of the wheel may have been simplicity, but humans have a hard time with simple. We constantly have the need to improve, and those improvements often get very complicated. I’m sure the early taxes were pretty simple too, but over time they have grown more complex.
Hehe, looks like I made a simple concept more complicated.

Hi Eric,
By chance, did you have anything to do with the tax declaration creation?
But you are right, in the attempt of improvement, often we end up making things more complicated, not necessarily worst, but definitely more complicated; I know, I’ve been working on cars for the past 30 years and have seen how “perfecting” derives into “complication”

Hi Raul
Simplicity does it for me every time.
KISS – keep it simple stupid.
In fact in my business there is a saying – “no point reinventing the wheel”
Short sharp post – like it.

Hi keith,
Not only no point in reinventing the wheel, but with our hability to complicate things, what if the second time we screw up?
Thanks for stopping by and your comment

Raul: What a great and simple
message. Sometimes I think it is easy to lose sight of the importance of keeping things simple. We get so caught up in all that is going on around us and some time we forget that all we usually need to remember is to just keep things simple. There really is beauty in simplicity.

Hi Sibyl,
Sometimes we don’t have an option and have to go with complex, like tax declaration
but as long as it is in our hands, yes, simplicity is beautiful!

As my favorite philosopher, Henry David Thoreau, put it, “Simplify, simplify, simplify!” Now if only I was convinced the persons who wrote the tax code were not actively trying to hide something from us… like the reality of who bears the tax burden in this country… then I could suggest they take a course of Walden and some time in the garden, and all would be better by next tax season, surely.

Hi Meredith,
I bet the people who wrote the tax code would love to take some time in the garden, relax and come up with something simpler, but if they can or not…I don’t know.
