I’m sorry for what happened to you with that stolen picture; and yes, most social sites have flaws in their systems; or maybe there’s always someone smarter that they are.

About pics showing on some porn sites; I read about that somewhere. Scary don’t you think?

Hi Eric,

What you mention is a good idea (your name on your picture); maybe the problem could be knowing how to do that for some people, and sometimes (my guess) we wouldn’t want to “destroy” a picture with a word crossed in front of it.

Anyway it is good to have some deterrent to prevent stealing.

You bring up a lot of valuable points, however if I post a photo of myself on my blog and someone takes that photo of my site and uses it then it is now considered an infringement of my copyright.

I once had a photo of me edited. I was made to look like a clown. The photo was uploaded to a website.

Facebook has a lot of flaws where privacy is considered and I really think they need to address that.

What you said about pics showing up on porn sites is already happening.

If you don’t want your picture put somewhere you’re not ok with, just delete it. Of course, there could be restrictions on such things but then just edit each picture on your computer and put your name on it or something.
