Have you noticed?
When driving an empty street after midnight and you get to stop for a red light. You wait for the green light; nobody is coming from any direction, time seems to last forever and you feel so stupid waiting there for no one.
Then a car appears in the other street, he has green light, but just before reaching the crossing, the traffic light changes to give you green and stop the other car. You can almost feel sorry for the other driver that will be there for something that will feel like an eternity.
It is my belief that traffic lights suffer from loneliness at night!
They keep you there to give them company and let you go only when a replacement company arrives. It is so sad to see those lonely traffic lights at night!
